West New Britain Province (WNB) is the western half of the main island of New Britain. Known as Oil Palm Province West New Britain is home to distinguished oil palm companies.

The western side of the province is covered with rain forest and logging is a major source of income for villagers in the area.
WNB comprises of 2 districts and 11 local governments and a total population of 184,508.
Kimbe Town is the Provincial Capital where the Provincial Adminiatration operates from.
WNB is similar to ENB in terms of natural disaster as both province have volcanos (active & domant). Mt Ulawun in WNB erupted after the Vulcan and Matupit in East New Britain.
