Aerial view of MadangMadang Province known in Papua New Guinea as Beautifull Madang is a major contributor to the country's economy. Home to manufacturing firms and other distinguised companies in the country like the Melanesian Tourist Service,RD Tuna,Barnes James PNG limited and others, Madang is fast developing into a modern metropolitant area in the country.
Melanesian DiscovererMadang shares provincial boundary extending from the East Sepik along the highlands of new guinea to Morobe Province. Virgin rain forest supporting a variety of wild life including the bird of paradise,alpine grassland and the rich Ramu valley provides sweet Ramu sugar to all PNG citizens.

Madang's wonders and challenges includes ruggered mountain terrains,fast flowing streams,flood plains,beautifull coastline and volcanic islands. A land of nature and natural forces of volcanos,land slides,earth quakes and flooding makes life in paradise interesting.


Independence dayMadang Town is the provincial capital. The province consists of 6 districts and 16 local governments. The total population is 365,106.

National highway links Madang Town to Lae in the Morobe Province and thus to the highlands provinces of Papua New Guinea.
